Current Food Prices in East Java: Red Chili Prices Rise, Shallot Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (28/3/2025) at 16.04 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, farmer-level corn, table salt, red chilies, and garlic bulbs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, shallots, premium rice, SPHP rice, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn prices surged the highest by Rp67 (1.22%) to Rp5,581 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of packaged wheat flour fell the most sharply by Rp179 (1.53%) to Rp11,558 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 23 food commodities in East Java according to Bapanas on March 28, 2025, at 16.04 WIB.
