Latest Food Prices in East Java: Rice, Oil, and Salt Prices Decrease

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency's (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (8/7/2025) at 08:18 AM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases are large red chili, premium rice, medium rice, dried soybean (imported), and broiler chicken meat.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red cayenne pepper, packaged wheat flour, SPHP rice, broiler chicken eggs, and mackerel fish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk wheat flour commodity saw the highest increase of Rp359 (4.02%) to Rp9,286 per kg. As for SPHP rice, its price dropped most significantly by Rp12,073 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.

Below is the complete list of prices for 23 food commodities in East Java according to Bapanas on August 7, 2025, at 08:18 AM WIB.

6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp32,600 per kg (up 2.35%)
7. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp31,571 per kg (down 0.46%)
8. Garlic Bulb: Rp31,143 per kg (up 1.73%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,364 per kg (down 4.66%)
10. Milkfish: Rp28,500 per kg (down 12.98%)
11. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,571 per kg (down 2.17%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp19,000 per liter (down 3.93%)
13. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp16,657 per liter (down 6.63%)
14. Consumption Sugar: Rp16,571 per kg (down 0.04%)
15. Minyakita: Rp16,386 per liter (down 1.54%)
16. Premium Rice: Rp15,611 per kg (up 3.68%)
