Central Java Food Prices Friday (September 20th): Salt Up, Rice Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (20/9/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), skipjack tuna, granulated sugar, milkfish, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, broiler chicken, garlic cloves, medium rice, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp3,590 (31.94%) to Rp14,830 per kg. Premium rice saw the largest price decrease, down Rp900 (6.04%) to Rp14,000 per kg.

9. Shallots: Rp22,980 per kg (up 0.35%)
