South Sumatra Food Prices Today: Salt Up, Bird's Eye Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (2/10/2025) at 13.22 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include bulk cooking oil, mackerel, consumption sugar, medium rice, and broiler eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, dried soybean (imported), red bird's eye chili, bulk wheat flour, and large red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Consumption salt commodity saw the highest increase of Rp99 (0.91%) to Rp10,940 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red bird's eye chili decreased the sharpest by Rp1,104 (2.71%) to Rp39,646 per kg.
