Latest Food Prices in East Java: Buffalo Meat Price Up, Oil Down

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (August 25, 2025) at 13.18 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 17 increased and 8 decreased.

Commodities with increasing prices include consumption sugar, medium rice, mackerel, Minyakita, and consumption salt.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, packaged cooking oil, corn at farmer level, pure beef, and laying hen eggs decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Frozen buffalo meat (imported) surged highest by Rp121,667 (inf%) to Rp121,667 per kg. Bulk cooking oil prices fell sharpest by Rp182 (1.03%) to Rp17,557 per liter.
