Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Red Chili Up, Eggs Down

The prices of several food items in South Sumatra today were observed to be lower than yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (19/10/2025) at 13:55 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 8 increased and 12 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include broiler chicken meat, garlic, red onion, milkfish, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red bird's eye chili, premium rice, Minyakita cooking oil, skipjack tuna, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili commodity jumped the highest by Rp2,862 (6.38%) to Rp47,714 per kg. Meanwhile, broiler chicken egg prices fell the sharpest by Rp381 (1.31%) to Rp28,704 per kg.
