Central Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall (Wednesday, March 27, 2024)

Food prices in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (27/3/2024) at 10:18 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, bulk wheat flour, milkfish, mackerel, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), dry soybean (import), shallots, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp1,410 (11.8%) to Rp13,360 per kg. Shallots saw the lowest price decrease of Rp2,160 (7.03%) to Rp28,560 per kg.
