Bali's Current Food Prices: Salt Prices Up, Cooking Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (13/1/2025) at 09.16 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, mackerel, premium rice, granulated sugar, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, shallots, bulk wheat flour, skipjack tuna, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,490 (22.89%) to Rp8,000 per kg. Bulk cooking oil saw the sharpest price drop, falling Rp7,520 (40.6%) to Rp11,000 per liter.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 19 food commodities in Bali according to Bapanas on January 13, 2025, at 09.16 WIB.

2. Red Chili: Rp95,000 per kg (down 6.79%)
3. Curly Red Chili: Rp65,000 per kg (up 0.2%)
4. Broiler Chicken: Rp45,000 per kg (up 10.16%)
5. Garlic Bulb: Rp40,000 per kg (up 2.96%)
6. Milkfish: Rp40,000 per kg (up 15.47%)
7. Mackerel: Rp40,000 per kg (up 1.11%)
8. Shallot: Rp38,000 per kg (down 3.16%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,000 per kg (up 0.54%)
10. Skipjack Tuna: Rp20,000 per kg (down 31.34%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp18,000 per kg (up 2.33%)
12. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp18,000 per liter (down 0.94%)
13. Premium Rice: Rp16,000 per kg (up 1.33%)
