Central Java Food Prices Today: Salt Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (12/7/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, premium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, bulk cooking oil, chicken eggs, pure beef, and corn at the farmer level decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp7,890 (69.88%) to Rp19,180 per kg. Red chilies saw the steepest price drop, down Rp5,370 (12.55%) to Rp37,420 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Central Java according to Bapanas on July 12, 2024, at 08.01 WIB.

7. Chicken Meat: Rp35,470 per kg (down 0.95%)
8. Curly Red Chilies: Rp33,540 per kg (down 7.17%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,700 per kg (down 1.44%)

11. Iodized Fine Salt: Rp19,180 per kg (up 69.88%)
