Food Prices Today (09/1) in South Sumatra: Red Bird's Eye Chili and Red Chili Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Necessity Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (January 9, 2026) at 4:34 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 1 commodity increased and 5 commodities decreased.

The only commodity whose price increased was broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, curly red chili, large red chili, bulk granulated sugar, and red bird's eye chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken price increased the highest by Rp166 (0.43%) to Rp38,833 per kg. The price of curly red chili dropped the deepest by Rp2,083 (4.39%) to Rp45,417 per kg.
