Food Prices Today, January 20, in West Sumatra: Onions Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra are observed to have decreased today compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Necessity Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (20/1/2026) at 13:53 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 3 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are Honan garlic and bulk granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, curly red chili, and broiler chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Honan garlic commodity surged the highest by Rp194 (0.58%) to Rp33,444 per kg. The price of curly red chili dropped the sharpest by Rp185 (0.48%) to Rp38,667 per kg.
