Banten Region's Latest Food Prices: Sugar Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The price of several food commodities in Banten today is observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (30/5/2024) at 15.41 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are broiler chicken, farmer-level corn, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), granulated sugar, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, bulk wheat flour, medium rice, milkfish, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp240 (3.9%) to Rp6,400 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp1,320 (3.65%) to Rp34,890 per kg.
