Current Food Prices in Jambi: Prices of Chicken Meat, Sugar, and Eggs Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Jambi today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (6/5/2024) at 13.01 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, chicken eggs, shallots, skipjack tuna, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), premium rice, bulk cooking oil, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of milkfish saw the highest increase, jumping Rp3,580 (13.77%) to Rp29,580 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies saw the lowest decrease, dropping Rp3,390 (6.43%) to Rp49,350 per kg.
