Latest Banten Region Food Prices: Chili Up, Beef Down (Tuesday, January 2, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (2/1/2024) at 10:36 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 17 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, red chilies, red onions, simple packaged cooking oil, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, pure beef, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of red chilies saw the highest increase, up by Rp13,570 (22.76%) to Rp73,190 per kg. The price of farmer-level corn saw the lowest decrease, down by Rp420 (5.2%) to Rp7,650 per kg.
