The daily price of shallots in traditional markets in Papua Province has increased by 23.67% over the past month.

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of shallots in traditional markets in Papua Province is recorded at Rp55,650. This price is up Rp850 compared to the previous day.

Regarding the price over the past month, the daily price of shallots in traditional markets has increased from a previous record of Rp45,000.

Meanwhile, the daily price of shallots in traditional markets in Papua over the past three months has fallen by 15.1%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of shallots in traditional markets in Papua Province was traded at Rp65,550.

The record high for the daily price of shallots in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in August 2023 with an increase of 58.48%, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in August 2023 with a decrease of -37.4%.

PIHPS monitoring shows that the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Papua recorded ten commodities decreasing and twelve others increasing. Basic commodities with decreased prices are: Large Red Chili, Red Chili, Medium-Sized White Onion, White Onion, Curly Red Chili, Low-Quality Rice I, Low-Quality Rice II, Medium-Quality Rice I, Medium-Quality Rice II, and Rice.
