Indonesia's Weekly Food Prices (September 15th): Egg and Chili Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (15/9/2024) at 2:25 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased in price and 16 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are pure beef, fine iodized salt, farmer-level corn, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged cooking oil, skipjack tuna, dry soybeans (import), red chilies, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Fine iodized salt saw the highest price increase of Rp110 (0.96%) to Rp11,600 per kg. Milkfish prices, on the other hand, decreased the most sharply by Rp580 (1.74%) to Rp32,660 per kg.

6. Curly Red Chilies: Rp34,450 per kg (down 1.26%)
7. Milkfish: Rp32,660 per kg (down 1.74%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,590 per kg (down 0.79%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,260 per kg (down 0.35%)
10. Shallots: Rp26,630 per kg (up 0.34%)
11. Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp18,100 per liter (down 0.22%)
