Latest Food Prices in West Java: Chili Prices Up, Cooking Oil Prices Down (Friday, January 26, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (26/1/2024) at 13.10 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, broiler chicken, Indian mackerel, shallots, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), skipjack tuna, farmer-level corn, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp680 (1.09%) to Rp63,180 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the lowest price decrease, dropping by Rp60 (0.89%) to Rp6,650 per kg.
