Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Bird's Eye Chili Prices Rise, Red Chili Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (28/9/2025) at 13:22 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases are shallots, premium rice, skipjack tuna, milkfish, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as garlic bulbs, large red chilies, consumption sugar, packaged cooking oil, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of red bird's eye chili increased the most by Rp440 (1.04%) to Rp42,862 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chili decreased the most by Rp3,465 (6.05%) to Rp53,815 per kg.
