Fresh Chicken Egg Prices in West Papua Are the Highest in Indonesia (Thursday, January 27, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded the average daily price of fresh chicken eggs (per kg) in modern markets in several provinces at Rp 30,350 per kg, data as of Thursday, January 27, 2022. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to last week's average of Rp 30,550 per kg.

The daily price of fresh chicken eggs in modern markets in West Papua was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 41,100 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of fresh chicken eggs in this province did not change. The highest selling price ever recorded in this region was Rp 51,150 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in North Maluku, fresh chicken eggs were sold at Rp 39,900 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of fresh chicken eggs in Gorontalo was Rp 36,400 per kg, North Sumatra Rp 34,200 per kg, and North Kalimantan Rp 33,150 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are eight provinces with fresh chicken egg sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for fresh chicken eggs are East Java, Bangka Belitung Islands, and Central Java.
