Latest Banten Region Food Prices: Fish Up, Corn Down (Friday, November 24, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday, November 24th, 2023, at 11:12 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased.

The price of Indian mackerel experienced the highest increase, rising 3.07% or Rp1,140 to Rp38,220 per kg.

Next, the prices of iodized fine salt and shallots each increased by 2.23% or Rp250 to Rp11,460 per kg and 2.17% or Rp660 to Rp31,040 per kg, respectively.

The price of shallot bulbs increased by Rp610 or 1.84% to Rp33,730 per kg, the price of red chilies increased by Rp1,240 or 1.72% to Rp73,230 per kg, and the price of broiler chicken increased by Rp320 or 0.86% to Rp37,460 per kg.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, pure beef, granulated sugar, and red cayenne pepper decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of farmer-level corn decreased by 4.39% or Rp330 to Rp7,180 per kg, the lowest price decrease today in Banten.

The price of pure beef was recorded at Rp133,500 per kg, down 1.9%, the price of granulated sugar decreased to Rp15,880 per kg from Rp16,070 per kg, and the price of red cayenne pepper decreased by Rp690 to Rp90,050 per kg.
