Today's Food Prices (18/12) in West Sumatra: Onions Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (18/12/2025) at 3:51 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices were medium rice and red onions.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as curly red chili, large red chili, and red cayenne pepper decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onions saw the highest increase of Rp306 (0.76%) to Rp40,375 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili prices experienced the deepest drop of Rp15,000 (18.75%) to Rp65,000 per kg.
