Indonesia's Food Prices Today: Chili Prices Up, Egg Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (7/8/2024) at 14:51 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, shallots, broiler chicken, dry soybean (import), and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk wheat flour, premium rice, and broiler chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies increased the most by Rp360 (0.81%) to Rp44,710 per kg. The price of broiler chicken eggs decreased the most sharply by Rp100 (0.35%) to Rp28,880 per kg.
