Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Rice, Sugar, and Oil Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (18/9/2025) at 14:28 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 8 decreased.

Commodities with rising prices include broiler chicken eggs, mackerel, bulk wheat flour, curly red chili, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as consumption salt, shallots, bulk cooking oil, red cayenne pepper, and dried soybean seeds (imported) decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Large red chili rose the most by Rp253 (0.63%) to Rp40,562 per kg. The price of red cayenne pepper fell the sharpest by Rp559 (1.59%) to Rp34,574 per kg.
