Current Food Prices in East Java: Chili Prices Rise, Shallot Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (13/12/2024) at 12:52 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, bulk wheat flour, red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, and garlic bulbs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, pure beef, shallots, skipjack tuna, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,250 (5.95%) to Rp22,260 per kg. Indian mackerel experienced the sharpest price drop, falling Rp690 (2.05%) to Rp33,030 per kg.
