Banten Region Food Prices Week of June 16th: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (16/6/2024) at 13.09 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, broiler eggs, medium rice, bulk wheat flour, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), simple packaged cooking oil, skipjack tuna, shallots, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of milkfish saw the highest increase, jumping Rp1,470 (4.56%) to Rp33,740 per kg. The price of dry soybean (import) saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp700 (5.32%) to Rp12,450 per kg.
