Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili Prices Up, Shallot Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday (6/7/2024) at 11:41 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 7 decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, Indian mackerel, simple packaged cooking oil, milkfish, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, chicken eggs, bulk wheat flour, granulated sugar, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of red chili peppers increased the most, by Rp1,190 (2.78%) to Rp43,980 per kg. The price of shallots decreased the most sharply, by Rp850 (2.44%) to Rp33,930 per kg.
