Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Egg, Salt, and Beef Prices Decline

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to decline compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency''s (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (September 14, 2025) at 13:24 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 9 increased and 13 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include premium rice, packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, shallots, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as garlic, bulk wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, broiler eggs, and consumption sugar decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Curly red chili surged the highest by Rp1,000 (1.39%) to Rp72,847 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level dropped the deepest by Rp2,847 (30.35%) to Rp6,533 per kg.
