Latest Food Prices in East Java Region: Buffalo Meat, Red Chili, and Oil Prices Decrease

Prices of several food items in East Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency''s (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (September 14, 2025) at 09:51 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are mackerel, dry imported soybeans, red cayenne pepper, consumption sugar, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as curly red chili, bulk cooking oil, garlic bulb, bulk wheat flour, and frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad) decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

The dry imported soybean commodity saw the highest jump of Rp587 (6.08%) to Rp10,238 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of fresh local buffalo meat dropped the sharpest by Rp120,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
