Sumatra Barat Food Prices Saturday (27/7): Onions Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (27/7/2024) at 14.37 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are medium-grain rice, whole garlic cloves, milkfish, granulated sugar, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, bulk cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, red chilies, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices surged the highest by Rp660 (1.83%) to Rp36,820 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices decreased the most by Rp9,280 (16.44%) to Rp47,180 per kg.

7. Milkfish: Rp33,970 per kg (up 1.07%)
