Food Prices in Indonesia Tuesday (Aug 26): Egg Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (Aug 26, 2025) at 09.07 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 19 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are pure beef, broiler eggs, premium rice, mackerel, and large red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, consumption salt, consumption sugar, frozen buffalo meat (foreign import), and fresh buffalo meat (local) decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Mackerel prices surged the highest by Rp914 (2.21%) to Rp42,234 per kg. Meanwhile, red onion prices dropped the sharpest by Rp4,754 (9.93%) to Rp43,099 per kg.
