Current Food Prices in Bali: Salt and Oil Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (15/8/2024) at 13.41 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), milkfish, simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, garlic bulbs, red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp590 (1.65%) to Rp36,250 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices fell the most sharply by Rp5,260 (8.8%) to Rp54,500 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Bali according to Bapanas on August 15, 2024, at 13.41 WIB.

6. Garlic Bulb: Rp35,630 per kg (down 0.45%)
7. Red Chili (Keriting): Rp35,390 per kg (up 1.64%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,790 per kg (down 0.56%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp23,690 per kg (down 1.99%)
10. Shallot: Rp22,250 per kg (down 2.37%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,630 per liter (up 0.4%)
12. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,300 per kg (down 0.46%)
