Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Prices of Chicken, Salt, and Rice Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (26/12/2024) at 10:51 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, garlic bulbs, skipjack tuna, simple packaged cooking oil, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), shallots, farmer-level corn, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp400 (3.56%) to Rp11,640 per kg. Shallots experienced the largest price drop, falling Rp560 (1.37%) to Rp40,350 per kg.
