Food Prices in D.I. Yogyakarta Tuesday (9/9): Red Chili Prices Rise, Rice Decreases

Prices of several food commodities in D.I. Yogyakarta are observed to have decreased today compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (9/9/2025) at 12:46 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 9 increased and 13 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include garlic (bulb), red cayenne pepper, consumption sugar, SPHP rice, and consumption salt.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as premium rice, packaged wheat flour, medium rice, skipjack tuna, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

The price of curly red chili commodity jumped the highest by Rp3,975 (10.85%) to Rp40,611 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most by Rp6,067 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
