Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Salt Prices Rise, Egg Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday's.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (24/11/2024) at 09:49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, shallots, broiler chicken, skipjack tuna, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, red cayenne peppers, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices surged the highest by Rp780 (2.83%) to Rp28,350 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of farmer-level corn decreased the most by Rp240 (4.18%) to Rp5,500 per kg.
