Today's Food Prices (January 29) in Central Java: Bird's Eye Chili Rises, Red Chili Falls

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the Ministry of Trade's Staple Food Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (Jan 29, 2026) at 3:13 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are bulk granulated sugar, shallots, curly red chilies, premium rice, and red bird's eye chilies.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken meat, broiler chicken eggs, Minyakita, and large red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chilies saw the highest increase of Rp3,759 (7.51%) to Rp53,833 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chilies experienced the sharpest decrease of Rp125 (0.41%) to Rp30,063 per kg.
