According to the Populix survey, 80% of respondents chose gold as an investment instrument amidst uncertain circumstances.

Only a small portion of respondents chose to secure assets in the form of cash (7%), property/real estate (6%), stocks/equities (3%), bonds (2%), cryptocurrency (1%), and foreign exchange (1%).

"Gold ranks as the most trusted asset for preserving value during uncertain times, while high-volatility assets trail far behind," said Populix on its official Instagram account, Wednesday (28/1/2026).

Populix also surveyed the financial decisions of respondents amidst market volatility. The results showed that 44% of respondents focused on seeking higher profits.

Some chose to maintain capital value (30%), reduce risk by limiting investments (13%), and wait and observe the situation (13%).

"This suggests a mix of risk-taking and caution during times of economic uncertainty," said Populix.

Populix conducted this survey online from January 25-27, 2026, among 2,373 respondents.
