Gold Jewelry, Largest Monthly Inflation Contributor in Indonesia October 2025

According to the report from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia experienced a monthly inflation of 0.28% (month-to-month/mtm) in October 2025.

"Historically, every October from 2021 to 2025 has experienced inflation, except for October 2022, which saw deflation," said Pudji Ismartini, Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics at BPS, during a press conference on Monday (3/11/2025).

In October 2025, gold jewelry was the largest contributor to monthly inflation, with a share of 0.21%.

Other commodities that were major contributors to monthly inflation during this period included red chili with a 0.06% share, broiler eggs 0.04%, broiler meat 0.02%, and carrots 0.01%.

On the other hand, several commodities contributed to deflation or a monthly price decrease, namely shallots and cayenne pepper, each contributing 0.03% to deflation.

In October 2025, monthly inflation occurred in 26 provinces, while the other 12 provinces experienced monthly deflation.

The highest monthly inflation occurred in Banten at a rate of 0.57% (mtm), while the deepest monthly deflation was in Papua Pegunungan at 0.92% (mtm).
