Indonesia Exported Many Cars to the Philippines in 2023

According to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), in 2023 Indonesia exported 687,400 tons of cars, buses, or trucks (four-wheeled or more motor vehicles) valued at US$6.83 billion.

The main destinations were the Philippines with a volume of 204,500 tons (US$2.03 billion) and Saudi Arabia with 76,900 tons (US$809.5 million).

Indonesia also exported significant quantities of similar vehicles to Mexico (67,400 tons, US$657.7 million), Vietnam (51,800 tons, US$522 million), Thailand (50,400 tons, US$521.7 million), and the United Arab Emirates (36,300 tons, US$353.8 million).

Smaller volumes, less than 30,000 tons, were also exported to Japan, Malaysia, Kuwait, and South Africa.

In addition to the top 10 countries, Indonesia exported four-wheeled or more motor vehicles to other countries with a combined volume of 132,800 tons (US$1.28 billion).
