Latest Central Java Food Prices: Chicken Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (27/9/2024) at 15.04 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, granulated sugar, dry soybean (import), shallots, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), garlic cloves, premium rice, medium-grade rice, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of skipjack tuna saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp230 (0.75%) to Rp30,890 per kg. The price of curly red chili peppers experienced the sharpest decrease, falling by Rp330 (1.47%) to Rp22,050 per kg.
