Today''s Food Prices in West Sumatra: Bird''s Eye Chili Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (10/9/2025) at 12:11 PM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include bulk wheat flour, consumption sugar, skipjack tuna, imported dried soybeans, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as broiler eggs, pure beef, packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, and packaged wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Milkfish commodity soared the highest by Rp5,000 (12.5%) to Rp45,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chili dropped the most by Rp3,317 (5.15%) to Rp61,100 per kg.
