Today's Food Prices in West Java: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (23/12/2024) at 09.22 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased in price and 16 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are red chilies, broiler chicken meat, farmer-level corn, chicken eggs, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, milkfish, SPHP rice, shallots, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp7,880 (17.26%) to Rp53,540 per kg. Shallots experienced the steepest price drop, falling by Rp1,970 (5.07%) to Rp36,850 per kg.
