Today's Food Prices (06/3) in West Sumatra: Red Chili Up, Onion Down

Some food commodity prices in West Sumatra today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (March 6, 2026) at 15:59 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 4 decreased.

Commodities that experienced price increases are large red chili, Honan garlic, broiler chicken meat, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as bulk palm cooking oil, shallots, broiler eggs, and red bird's eye chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of large red chili jumped the highest by Rp1,334 (3.51%) to Rp39,367 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of shallots fell the most by Rp264 (0.83%) to Rp31,389 per kg.
