Food Prices Today in Indonesia: Egg and Rice Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (November 8, 2025) at 09:13 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 4 commodities saw an increase and 21 commodities saw a decrease.

Commodities with increased prices were consumption salt, consumption sugar, pure beef, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, medium rice, broiler eggs, SPHP rice, and red bird's eye chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel prices rose the highest by Rp623 (1.47%) to Rp43,073 per kg. Meanwhile, red bird's eye chili prices fell the deepest by Rp2,850 (7.5%) to Rp35,151 per kg.

3. Frozen Buffalo Meat (Imported): Rp99,129 per kg (down 5.42%)

5. Large Red Chili: Rp49,067 per kg (down 3.7%)
6. Mackerel: Rp43,073 per kg (up 1.47%)
7. Shallots: Rp38,516 per kg (down 2.01%)
8. Garlic Bulb: Rp36,317 per kg (down 1.43%)
9. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp35,920 per kg (down 2.88%)
10. Red Bird's Eye Chili: Rp35,151 per kg (down 7.5%)
