Latest Food Prices in D.I. Yogyakarta Region: Onion and Rice Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in D.I. Yogyakarta today were observed to rise compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (September 8, 2025) at 12:46 PM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include mackerel, packaged wheat flour, broiler chicken, milkfish, and large red chilies.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as consumption salt, pure beef, consumption sugar, skipjack tuna, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Mackerel prices soared the highest by Rp1,882 (4.83%) to Rp40,882 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices dropped the deepest by Rp838 (2.24%) to Rp36,636 per kg.

6. Red Onion: Rp35,667 per kg (up 0.47%)
7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp35,214 per kg (up 0.61%)
