Food Prices Today (07/1) in South Sumatra: Chili and Egg Prices Decline

The prices of several food ingredients in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (7/1/2026) at 16:34 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 3 increased and 4 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include Honan garlic, broiler chicken meat, and red onion.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red bird's eye chili, broiler chicken eggs, large red chili, and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onion prices rose the highest by Rp1,250 (3.12%) to Rp41,333 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices fell the sharpest by Rp2,500 (5.13%) to Rp46,250 per kg.
