Today's Food Prices, January 09, in Banten: Red Chili Rises, Bird's Eye Chili Falls

Today's prices for several food items in Banten are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Staple Food Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) as of Friday (1/9/2026) at 4:23 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 1 commodity increased and 8 commodities decreased.

The only commodity with a price increase was curly red chili.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken eggs, shallots, broiler chicken meat, Honan garlic, and red bird's eye chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili saw the highest jump of Rp67 (0.16%) to Rp42,267 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red bird's eye chili dropped most sharply by Rp2,066 (3.69%) to Rp53,867 per kg.
