Prices of Curly Red Chili Peppers at Modern Markets, May 2024-2025

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of curly red chilies in Riau province's modern markets is recorded at Rp75,950 per kg. This price is down Rp27,800 per kg compared to the previous day.

Over the past month, the daily price of curly red chilies in modern markets has decreased from a previous record of Rp104,200 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of curly red chilies in modern markets in Riau over the past three months has increased by 44.12% from a previous record of Rp52,700 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of curly red chilies in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in April 2017 with a 407.5% increase, and the lowest decrease was recorded in March 2017 with a -73.94% decrease.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Riau show 12 commodities decreased and 12 others increased. Basic commodities with price decreases include Cooking Oil, Chili Peppers, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Large Red Chilies, Red Chili Peppers, Green Chili Peppers, Red Chilies, Curly Red Chilies, Medium Quality Rice I, Chicken Meat, Chicken Eggs, and Fresh Chicken Eggs.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the past month in Riau province:

1. Cooking Oil per kg: Rp23,600 per kg (down 4.07%)
2. Chili Peppers per kg: Rp70,350 per kg (down 37.38%)
3. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1 per kg: Rp23,000 per kg (down 2.13%)
4. Large Red Chilies per kg: Rp105,250 per kg (down 9.23%)
5. Red Chili Peppers per kg: Rp83,700 per kg (down 28.28%)
6. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per kg: Rp24,200 per kg (unchanged)
7. Green Chili Peppers per kg: Rp56,950 per kg (down 47.51%)
8. Red Chilies per kg: Rp90,600 per kg (down 17.71%)
9. Curly Red Chilies per kg: Rp75,950 per kg (down 27.11%)
10. Rice per kg: Rp15,950 per kg (up 0.95%)
11. Red Onions per kg: Rp59,350 per kg (up 6.84%)
12. Garlic per kg: Rp66,950 per kg (up 3.48%)
