South Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Fish Prices Rise, Others Fall (Monday, December 18, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (18/12/2023) at 08.50 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, tongkol fish, dry soybean (import), bulk wheat flour, and kembung fish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, fine iodized salt, medium rice, red onion, and chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of kembung fish increased the most by Rp1,590 (4.25%) to Rp38,990 per kg. The price of bandeng fish decreased the most by Rp1,550 (5.43%) to Rp26,980 per kg.

6. Red Onion: Rp32,360 per kg (down 2.06%)
7. Chicken Meat: Rp29,490 per kg (down 2.9%)
8. Tongkol Fish: Rp29,450 per kg (up 3.77%)
9. Bandeng Fish: Rp26,980 per kg (down 5.43%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,930 per kg (up 0.37%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,240 per kg (up 1.77%)
