West Java Food Price Update Today: Onion Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall (Monday, April 1, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (1/4/2024) at 11:19 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, bulk cooking oil, shallots, bulk wheat flour, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), curly red chilies, premium rice, garlic bulbs, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,600 (4.98%) to Rp33,710 per kg. Farmer-level corn had the lowest price decrease of Rp350 (5.42%) to Rp6,110 per kg.

6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp38,840 per kg (up 0.73%)
7. Milkfish: Rp37,130 per kg (up 0.11%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp36,130 per kg (down 2.19%)
9. Shallots: Rp33,710 per kg (up 4.98%)
