Latest Food Prices in West Java: Red Chili Up, Onion Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Java are observed to have decreased today compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (September 8, 2025) at 10.23 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 11 commodities saw an increase and 12 commodities saw a decrease.

Commodities with increased prices include dried soybean seeds (imported), broiler chicken meat, large red chilies, red bird''s eye chilies, and broiler chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, red onions, bulk wheat flour, corn at farmer level, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Large red chilies saw the highest increase of Rp4,700 (11.15%) to Rp46,843 per kg. Red onions, on the other hand, experienced the sharpest decrease of Rp2,512 (6.3%) to Rp37,339 per kg.
